(HLR) Preventative maintenance:
Park in the shade, or facing away from the sun in a garage, or carport. Avoid driving in extremely hot or cold weather conditions as much as possible.
Proper (HLR) After care:
For maximum results, and to get the most out of your new (HLR) poly. clear coat. We suggest washing your car and cleaning your headlights at a minimum of 1x per month. Use a Non – abrasive car soap along with a non-abrasive washcloth or sponge. Use a drill with a buffing, polishing pad if available. With your choice of quick detailer spray, or non-abrasive polish. For (SIO2) Ceramic coatings we suggest washing your vehicles headlamps bi-weekly. To prevent premature cloudiness, and discoloration. As with this coating your headlamps are the least protected over all other (HLR) options. Keeping them clean with this coating is vital. Especially, for those looking to come back at a later time to upgrade. For all new “true” ceramic hard coats we advise you to employ the two-bucket method. The first bucket should contain car soap, or a low ph. shampoo like Johnson & Johnson. While the other bucket contains normal water for rinsing clean. After thoroughly washing, use a microfiber non-abrasive towel to dry the headlamp surface, and polish after. Using, the same non-abrasive buff & polish technique mentioned above for poly. clear coats.
Deposits & Weather Conditions
For ‘LampGard’ appointments, a non-refundable deposit of $45 up to $65, along with tax and shipping fees, is necessary. This deposit accounts for your vehicle’s part cost and is deducted from the total service fee. A $25 non-refundable deposit is mandatory for all other appointments. Please note that scheduling an appointment without a deposit will not guarantee or secure your place in line. You can reschedule up to 3 times. After that, an extra deposit is needed. This rule does not apply for changes in weather conditions. Remember, HLR quality can be affected if done outside a controlled climate under 60 degrees and, or if moisture is present.
